1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide: names, email addresses, telephone numbers, contact preferences, messages, professional category, buying/selling/renting needs, price range, desired location, move timing and lender/preapproval status. Member information may include brokerage, licenses, market, profile, account and subscription details. Payment providers process payment information. Website tools may collect IP address, browser/device details, cookies, page activity and access times. Do not submit medical records, Social Security numbers, bank credentials or sensitive documents through general forms.
2. Sources and purposes
Information comes from you, your interactions with our website and communications, and providers or partners involved in an authorized referral or account. We use it to respond, match referral requests, manage professional membership, verify credentials, process subscriptions, communicate as permitted, operate and improve the service, maintain security, handle privacy requests and meet legal obligations. We do not treat a newsletter subscription as permission to sell a referral lead.
3. Paid lead sharing and sale
For referral requests, MRN may share or sell your name, email, telephone number and submitted real estate/professional preferences to one or more participating real estate agents, brokerages or mortgage providers for matching and related contact, subject to the notice, choices and permissions applicable to your request. Participants pay fixed professional membership fees and MRN charges per lead. MRN does not receive a percentage of a transaction closing. Transfers for money or other valuable consideration may be a sale under privacy laws. Recipients may contact you by email, call or text in accordance with your choices and law. This policy is a disclosure, not blanket permission for all third-party marketing, automated calls/texts or onward resale.
4. Other disclosures and independent providers
We may disclose information to website/hosting, CRM, email, payment, analytics and other service providers for their service functions; to approved members for directory/referral functions; when law requires; to protect rights and security; or in a business transfer subject to applicable law. An independent agent, brokerage or lender has its own practices and privacy notice. Review those before providing additional information.
5. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Use the “Do Not Sell My Personal Information” control in the website footer to record an online opt-out preference. You can also email themedicalreferralnetwork@gmail.com with subject “Do Not Sell or Share” and enough contact information to locate submitted lead records, or submit the request through the website inquiry form. Do not send identification documents or sensitive financial information. You do not need a paid account to ask. An opt-out is separate from an email unsubscribe or cookie preference. Please state whether you also wish to stop MRN marketing. Where a transfer is needed for a referral you request, we will explain the available route rather than treat an opt-out as permission to sell your details.
6. Marketing and contact choices
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the message link. For texts, reply STOP where supported or contact the sender; message/data rates may apply. Contact themedicalreferralnetwork@gmail.com to change MRN contact preferences or revoke consent. Contact independent providers directly about their messages as well. We may still send necessary service/account communications as permitted by law. Providing a number or accepting website terms does not alone grant consent to automated or prerecorded marketing calls/texts. Consent required for a particular sender or technology must be obtained separately.
7. Privacy rights and requests
Depending on your residence and applicable law, you may have rights to access/know, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal information; opt out of sale, targeted advertising or certain profiling; and appeal a denial. Submit a request or appeal to themedicalreferralnetwork@gmail.com; label appeals “Privacy Appeal.” Authorized agents may contact us as permitted by law. We may reasonably verify identity/authority for requests that require it, but will not demand account creation to exercise rights. We will handle requests within applicable legal periods and will not unlawfully discriminate for exercising rights. Some information must be retained or requests limited under legal exceptions.
8. Cookies, analytics and browser signals
Our site uses Wix and connected Meta (Facebook/Instagram) advertising tools to measure site interactions and advertising conversions. These tools can disclose browser/device identifiers and event information for advertising measurement; such disclosures may qualify as sharing under state privacy laws. Cookies and similar technologies also support site functionality and analytics. Cookie controls, when offered, apply to the technologies they cover. Cookie preferences do not necessarily stop sale of a submitted referral lead; use the methods in section 5 for that information. Recognized browser opt-out signals, including Global Privacy Control, must be handled where applicable law requires.
9. Retention and security
We retain information for the purposes described, considering the duration of a referral or membership, support needs, consent/opt-out records, security, legal duties and dispute periods. Retention is not unlimited solely because information was submitted. Request deletion through the contact above, subject to legal exceptions. We use reasonable safeguards, but no system or transmission is completely secure.
10. Adults and U.S. services
MRN’s service is intended for adults age 18 or older in the United States. We do not knowingly collect information from children for this service. If a child’s information was submitted, contact us to address it.
11. Updates and previously collected information
We will post updates with a revised date and provide notice or obtain consent when required. This policy does not retroactively authorize broader sale or use of information collected under an earlier no-sale promise. Existing information must be handled consistently with the original notice and choices unless a lawful basis and any required new consent permit a change.
